Q: How much coffee is Julius Meinl coffee?

A: 1% of the global Arabica export becomes Meinl coffee. That means that for every 100 Arabica coffee beans plucked from the bush, 1 is chosen to become a Meinl coffee bean. Due to our rigorous selection process, many of these beans never make it to the cup.

Q: How many Meinl beans make it through the selection and control process?

A: Even after purchasing only the world's best Arabica beans, we are very selective about which beans to use in our coffees. Each and every bean is subjected to over 100 quality tests after purchase and of all the beans we buy, and several thousand beans are discarded every day during our quality control process.
